Neuralink Gets FDA Approval for Human Trials
Neuralink gained approval from the FDA to begin human trial testing for its brain-computer interface (BCI). It’s been nearly seven years since the company was founded and it’s interesting to revisit how I originally covered the device’s potential – from downloading skills directly into our brains to making phone calls without a phone.
It was easy to get carried away with the sci-fi visions of putting a computer in our brains, and get called crazy back then. But now that human trials are around the corner, it all feels more real.
