AI is a critical piece of a Cubefab’s operations—automating much of the complex process engineering that would have required a hundred or so highly skilled workers, Putman said. “We can put a Cubefab in an area that has no semiconductor infrastructure, and be up and running.” Because of AI, a single fab can be dropped in its new location and run by three dozen workers with only factory experience.
