Link: Adobe’s Sora-rivaling AI video generator is now available for everyone
Adobe's Generate Video AI tool is now publicly available for testing through its updated Firefly web app. This release includes enhanced image generation and translation features, and new AI credit subscription tiers.
The tool, part of a suite powered by Adobe's Firefly Video Model since October, has been improved with minor updates since its initial teaser last autumn.
Generate Video allows for the creation of videos from text or images, supporting various styles, angles, and movements. Videos are now rendered in 1080p at 24 frames per second, though clip length is currently limited to five seconds.
Adobe has integrated the Firefly web app with other Creative Cloud applications, streamlining the process for users to edit AI-generated assets which are safe for commercial use. The tool is marketed as "production-ready."
In the competitive AI video landscape, Adobe's release follows OpenAI's Sora and precedes new tools by Google and others. However, Adobe's emphasis on commercial usability gives it an edge.
Adobe also introduced two Firefly subscription plans starting at $9.99/month, designed to cater to different user needs pertaining to video and audio generation, while including unlimited access to imaging and vector features. #
