Link: Books written by humans are getting their own certification

The Authors Guild has introduced a "Human Authored" certification to reassure readers that books are written by people, not AI.

The certification is currently available only to Guild members and books written solely by individual authors, though plans to expand are in place.

To receive certification, books must be predominantly human-written, though they can include some AI assistance for tasks like spell-checking.

Guild CEO Mary Rasenberger emphasized that the initiative supports transparency and the human element in storytelling.

The aim isn't to shun technology but to highlight the personal touch that authors bring to their work, ensuring a meaningful reader connection.
