Link: From kanji to math, what does a day at a Japanese elementary school look like?

The new school term, specifically the second semester, is already in full swing this September. The nostalgia of summer vacation from my school days still shapes my perception of this month.

This week, Bilingual invites you back to a Japanese elementary school setting.

Let's start by revisiting some elementary school vocabulary that is useful in everyday life.

The Japanese often utilize nouns as verbs by adding the action-word 'suru' (to do).

For example, 'osarai' (review) becomes 'osarai suru,' similar to how 'fukushū' (also review) transforms into 'fukushū suru.'
