Google introduces new Chromebook models with Samsung and Lenovo, debuting the "quick insert key" that enhances functionality. This key, available on the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus, provides shortcuts to a new AI-powered help tool, GIF and emoji searches, and more.

The newly revealed quick insert key is exclusive to the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Plus for now, but Google plans to expand its availability. For existing devices, users can access the features via a keyboard shortcut.

Google is broadening its AI integration across Chromebook Plus devices with features like the "Help me read" tool to summarize texts and new live translation capabilities that support over 100 languages. AI continues to refine user interactions with real-time content analysis and translation.

Enhancements don’t stop at AI, as Google improves video call quality through AI-based audio adjustments.Chromebooks will also feature a transcription service, originally exclusive to Pixel phones, that recognizes speakers and summarizes discussions.

Updates for all Chromebooks include pinning apps directly to the desktop and visual recaps of recent activities across devices. Focus modes, similar to iOS, and customizable soundscapes further tailor user experience for productivity.

Google is encouraging wider use of its AI features by offering new Chromebook buyers free premium AI services for up to a year. An educational favorite, the Goodnotes app, now fully supports stylus input, enhancing the utility of compatible Chromebooks. #
