Link: Google rolls out its Gemini AI-powered video presentation app
Google's new Gemini AI-powered Vids app simplifies the creation of video presentations from just a prompt. Its innovative features auto-insert stock footage, generate scripts, and craft AI voiceovers, eliminating the need for users to engage directly.
The tool is designed to convert customer support articles into videos, create training modules, announce company news, and summarize meetings. This versatility makes it a powerful tool for enhancing corporate communication.
Available primarily to Workspace organizations, Vids integrates easily with existing Google documents, slides, and recordings. However, Google has indicated that starting in 2026, there might be usage limitations on features like "Help me create" and AI voiceovers.
The app supports multiple languages, although its advanced AI features, including the "Help me create" function and its read-along teleprompter, are currently only available in English. This may limit its accessibility for non-English speaking users.
Vids was first unveiled in April and officially began its rollout on November 7th. The deployment period could extend beyond 15 days, affecting when users can access the app.
