Link: Google Shopping is getting a ‘for you’ feed of products

Google Shopping introduces a personalized product feed. This new feature, accessible on both mobile and desktop, presents a carousel of items you've recently viewed at the top, simplifying product rediscovery.

Scrolling down, users will find recommendations and videos tailored to their interests. This customization is driven by their previous searches and YouTube activity.

If users dislike a suggested item, they can select a "thumbs-down" button to refine the recommendations. This system mirrors the personalized "for you" pages seen on other social platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

"We aimed to create a shopping experience specifically tailored to your interests," explained Sean Scott, VP and General Manager of Consumer Shopping at Google. Additionally, a new deals tab provides targeted bargains if users are logged into their Google account.

Google is also enhancing its search capabilities. Searching a product now delivers an AI-generated summary and the top recommended products, complete with insightful blurbs.

The update, which starts rolling out in the US today, promises a more tailored and streamlined shopping experience. Google also plans to refine product searches by grouping results and highlighting key features for easier decision-making. #
