Link: Google will use more mics and Gemini AI to get you to talk to your TV

Google TV is enhancing user interaction with the integration of Gemini, making it more intuitive. This feature is expected to launch later this year and will allow users to command their TVs without the preliminaries of a wake word.

According to reports from Bloomberg and Android Police, Gemini will enable users to search for content directly and ask varied questions.

The updated Google TV will show YouTube search results in response to inquiries like “What are the latest movies from Disney?”.

It will also assist in managing smart home devices, allowing for interactions such as checking video doorbell feeds.

Additional upgrades include the installation of far-field microphones and proximity sensors.

These TVs will recognize when a user is nearby and display personalized widgets, enhancing the smart TV experience. #
