Link: Microsoft Teams will help you speak in a foreign language during meetings
Microsoft Teams is introducing a new interpreter feature allowing real-time AI-powered translation in multiple languages during meetings. A preview set for early 2025 will support up to nine languages and even simulate your voice in different languages.
This enhancement is part of broader AI-driven updates aimed at improving multilingual collaboration. Meeting transcriptions will soon accommodate up to 31 languages, enhancing global communication efficiency.
In addition to language support, Teams will soon analyze and summarize visual content shared during meetings. This feature will work alongside existing transcript and chat summaries to provide a comprehensive meeting recap.
Microsoft is also integrating advanced video capabilities into Teams with the Super Resolution feature, powered by local Copilot Plus PCs. It enhances video quality, particularly useful when connectivity is poor.
Developers will also get new tools in January, such as APIs for improving image quality and other Copilot Runtime updates for better image handling. These advances aim to streamline the visual aspect of app development.
