Link: Nvidia announces $3,000 personal AI supercomputer called Digits

Nvidia has unveiled Project Digits, a personal AI supercomputer set to launch in May. Powered by the GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, this new device packs top-tier AI processing capability into a desktop-friendly size.

Project Digits can operate sophisticated AI models with up to 200 billion parameters, at a starting price of $3,000. It resembles a Mac Mini in design, making it a compact but powerful solution.

Enthusiasts can expect 128GB of memory and up to 4TB of NVMe storage within each unit. For more intense requirements, two units can be linked to manage even larger AI models.

The superchip offers up to 1 petaflop of AI performance, enhanced by cutting-edge CUDA and Tensor cores. It uses an energy-efficient Arm-based Grace CPU, developed in collaboration with MediaTek.

Project Digits users gain access to Nvidia’s comprehensive AI software library for model development and deployment. The system supports essential tools like PyTorch and Python, perfect for personal AI development.

Nvidia also provides more accessible AI solutions like the Jetson Orin Nano Super, priced at $249 for up to 8 billion parameters, targeting hobbyists and startups. #
