Link: Samsung is partnering with Ashley Furniture to sell you on the smart home
Samsung has partnered with Ashley Furniture to introduce the Connected Home Experience, utilizing its SmartThings platform to demonstrate the synergy between furniture and smart home technology. This interactive installation is live at Ashley Furniture's flagship store in Brentwood, Tennessee.
The display features various home settings that show smart devices in action, like lighting, shades, and more, all controlled by Samsung’s SmartThings. Visitors can manipulate these settings using a Samsung Galaxy Tab, offering a tangible sense of smart home advantages.
The showcase includes over 200 products from multiple brands, all compatible with the SmartThings system. This includes gadgets from Philips Hue, Nanoleaf, and other manufacturers, providing a comprehensive look at the possibilities within a smart home.
Apart from third-party devices, the showroom also highlights Samsung’s own products like SmartThings-enabled TVs and the Music Frame. These devices serve as hubs, connecting and controlling various smart home elements effortlessly.
The initiative extends online with a virtual interactive home on Samsung.com, which displays practical uses of smart devices in everyday living. This online experience is designed to show potential customers how smart technology can seamlessly integrate into their daily routines.
While the Connected Home Experience is currently exclusive to the Brentwood store, it represents a broader effort by Samsung to make smart home technology accessible and understandable to the public through practical, hands-on interaction. #
