Link: Small Hokkaido town ranked most comfortable place to live in Japan

Higashikawa, a quaint town in central Hokkaido with only 8,000 residents, is recently named Japan's most livable area. This accolade comes from a survey by Daito Trust Construction highlighting its safety and community spirit.

The town's proximity to Asahikawa has not deterred its distinct charm and appeal. Last year, it was ranked tenth in the same survey.

Following Higashikawa, Tokyo’s Chuo Ward secured the second spot. It's admired for its balanced urban lifestyle.

Ashiya in Hyogo Prefecture earned the third position, known for its affluent residences and scenic beauty.

Also making the top five were Tokyo’s Bunkyo Ward and Nagakute in Aichi Prefecture. Each area offers unique advantages and desirable living conditions.

This list was released in August by Daito Trust Construction, based on responses from an online survey. #
