Link: Super Bowl LIX will stream for free on Tubi

Fox announced Super Bowl LIX will stream live on Tubi on February 9th, 2025, marking its debut on the free platform. This significant 4K broadcast makes it accessible for free via Tubi's app on phones and smart TVs, although an account is necessary.

Tubi, a service Fox acquired in 2020, has grown robustly, now boasting 97 million monthly users. Previously, Super Bowl LVII in 2023 was available on Fox's traditional outlets and also through costlier live TV streaming services.

The initiative to broadcast the event on Tubi aligns with their strategic expansion into live sportscasting, emphasized by a teaser ad during Super Bowl LVII.

Super Bowl LIX's coverage will kick off with a red-carpet event at 3:30 PM ET, hosted by Olivia Culpo. The game will also be available across other Fox platforms including Fox Deportes and Telemundo.

A correction noted by a Tubi spokesperson clarifies that unlike regular programming, streaming the Super Bowl will require an account. This correction ensures viewers are aware of the new viewing requirement.

Viewership options have broadened since Fox also offered Super Bowl LVII for free on its Fox Sports app, contrary to earlier limitations to paid services. This move likely anticipates a further increase in Tubi's user base by leveraging such high-profile events. #
