Link: TikTok is coming back online in the US

TikTok is resuming its operations in the US after a temporary shutdown. The platform credited President-elect Trump for the clarity needed to restore service.

US users faced an outage as a ban loomed, with TikTok messages stating services were "temporarily unavailable."

Service restoration began around 12 PM ET Sunday on both the mobile app and website.

A welcome message in the app now thanks Trump for his involvement. "As a result of President Trump’s efforts, TikTok is back in the U.S.!" states the app.

Despite the app's return, it is not available on Apple's App Store or Google Play.

This is likely because these companies are cautious about potential legal issues related to the ongoing ban.

Trump plans to issue an executive order extending TikTok's sale deadline, modifying previous requirements for the app's divestiture.

Meanwhile, TikTok remains optimistic about its continuity in the US, informing advertisers about the imminent resumption of full services.
